iPOD and USB 2.0
I just updated my computer with USB 2.0 connections. Now iTunes and iPod and Windows work perfectly!!!
I have a 60GB iPod with color. Apple says that USB 2.0 is recommended, not required. However in the specs of the iPod Updater 6-23-06, under iPod, it says you must have USB 2.0 for it to work. This is most deceiving by Apple and is the reason that I wasted 11 hours of my life uninstalling, installing, messing with msconfig, blah blah blah.
Maybe it was just me that didn't read something obvious, but once I updated my PC motherboard with the USB 2.0 ports (Like $30 for 4 on the card) all was clockwork.
Now I can use this paperweight for something. 🙂
