I've never heard of it - where do you see that it's installed ?.
If Safari - check Preferences - Extensions.
I'm guessing this is something you're seeing in your browser. I'm also guessing you're not seeing it in Safari, since the mysearchdial web site claims it doesn't work in Safari yet. Assuming you trust idiots who think it's okay to hijack your browser like this... if you are using Safari, Andy has you covered.
I'm guessing, though, that you're using Firefox, in which case you choose Add-ons from the Tools menu, select Extensions on the left side of the window that opens and remove any mysearchdial items. Since this is the first I've heard of this particular program, I don't know for sure whether that is actually sufficient to get rid of all traces of this software, though. That's what they claim, but such companies cannot be trusted.
I do not use Safari, I use Google Chrome and Firefox. I have tried to remove it from Extensions but it is not there and yet it keeps on appearing on my top bar.
Thank you very much for trying to help!

Did you do steps 2 through 5 at the link I gave you?
your instructions are for a PC, but yes I tried with no success,
Some of those things are in different places on the Mac - such as choosing Preferences from the Firefox menu instead of Options from the Tools menu - but overall it's all the same. Were you able to locate and change each of those settings? If not, which ones did you miss?
If you have checked all those settings and don't see anything, we need to clarify exactly what you're seeing. When you say you see it in your "top bar," what does that mean? Is it showing in your web browser's toolbar? Or are you seeing this in the menu bar in all apps?
Also, this probably would have gotten onto your system by piggybacking in on some other installer. What software did you install just before this started happening, and where did you download it from?
Thank you Thomas. Although I did not removed it from the Extentions, or anywhere else, for that matter, now it seems to have dissappeared.
It was showing in my web browser's opening bar as soon as I cliked the Firefox icon. That is on the line under the red, yellow, green controls (under the apple/icon).If it appears again I will make a photo and include it here.
Thank you for your help.
Any ideas what you downloaded right before this problem started? If you can direct us to the source of this adware, we can test it out and tell you more precisely how it works and what needs to be removed.
I do not know. I had the same problem with my PC at home, i guess it was probably a link for a film, but I do not know for sure.
Dear Thomas,
This is the source. I hope it helps. Many thanks.

That link doesn't appear to go anywhere except to a mysearchdial.com search page. Thanks for trying, though.
