How to do wildcard search?
Does anyone know I can do wildcard search like *.jpg or my**.jpg? And yes, don't tell me to use the Terminal and copy and paste path.

In spotlight you can use KIND to narrow things.
Example: "my kind:jp" (remove the quotes) should show results of every jpg with "my" in the name.
If you use the image keyword instead of jp, then it will show every image with "my" in it.
So, the search would generically be [search term] kind:[keyword]
Spotlight searches are pretty much wildcard searches, you just don't need the wildcards.
However, if you want to do it, look at a Raw Query. This post shows some of its capabilities using the Terminal command mdfind, but you can use a Raw Query in the Finder and he talks about how to select that from the criteria menu.

With a Raw Query, you don't use the mdfind command, but the rest of the search is entered into the Find window.

Did you ever figure this out? Maybe I am missing something, but it appears you can not do a "wild card" *.something search in Finder? 😕 Can you do it anywhere else AS EASILY AS YOU CAN DO IT IN WINDOWS?
In the Finder, press Command-F to bring up a Finder search window, and you can then apply filters to the search, which can narrow results to those that "include," "begins with," "ends with," (etc.) the specified search term. The defaut filter is the "Kind" filter, but you can choose more from the available menus, and even pick from over a hundred hidden filters if you choose the "Other" option. These can be used in combination to quite effectively narrow searches, but standard wildcards for file names do not work in the Spotlight and Finder search fields.
