Wacom and Legacy drivers for Mavericks?!

----- Begin Transmission-----

I have a Wacom Intuos2 tablet. Yes very ancient technology for gear heads but as I always say. If it does the job, then it is still relevant. I installed the Intuos driver update for Maverick and after installation and reboothing my MacPro, I get a "Supported tablet not found."

Here are somethings into consideration.

1. I did not have the drivers installed before upgrading from Snow Leopard to Mavericks

2. I did install the software then rebooted my computer with the tablet plugged in and not plugged it.

3. I have tried various ports

4. Tried installing and reinstalling

The tablet does work, just as a sluggish trackpad, not a tablet.

Looking up on the wacom website there are legacy drivers for the Intuos 2. The question is, will they work for Mavericks?

I do need these drivers for my work. Last thing I want is my computer taking a nosedive.

I do not want to have to purchase the latest and greatest tablet yet. Although I have my eye on the cintique to use as a 3rd or 4th monitor to work off of. :-)

So. I'm having the same issue, but with an even older tablet... The Wacom PenPartner. Does anyone have any idea how to get this to work?

Well actually, to be more precise, it does work, but it doesn't have the shared settings, so I can't tell it to span my desktop (dual monitor) or use pressure sensititvity. (I haven't tried the latter, I mostly use mine for navigation).

If anyone has any ideas I'd be really grateful!

Cheers,

Mike
