I am looking to buy an iMac but I don't what spec would be best for me. I like take photos. My camera takes big photos. I like to edit and make movies. I like to play games, such as The Sims 3 and surf the web. I also use microsoft office and iWork.

IMO,this with the i7 processor option. Whether you want to deal with an SSD is your choice. I wouldn't.
I have a Macbook Air 11", and I love it. I play Sims 3 on it all the time. It is portable and if you need to, you can connect it to a bigger moniter for handling larger photos. I don't think you'd have a problem on the Macbook Air though; I also take a lot of pictures and have not had a problem.
Plus, if its a refurb, it will be pretty cheap!
