Is it normal for my brand new MacBook Pro 15 inch taking 5-10 seconds to wake up from sleep

Is it normal for my MacBook Pro to do this usually when in sleep mode it comes back straight away but one time it took 5-10 seconds to come up is this normal? Also my last question is it ok to charge your MacBook Pro laptop once it gets below 40 percent back to a hundred

Yes, all of mine take a few seconds to wake, it is not instantaneous.

So no worries there.

Yeah they are expensive, but I think that they are worth it, I prefer OSX to Windows. You will get accustomed to the OS rapidly, it is much more intuitive, and not dropdown after dropdown, window after window to get where you want to go.

Just a tip, in your profile you should also include the year, model/size, and OSX version you are using this will help anyone who reads a question you post if you have a need to in the future. Some of the advice/suggestions can be based on that info.

You can leave on the charger for most of the time, you should let it run down to about 20-30% charge monthly, then let it fully recharge. The Mac will not "over charge" but it is good to a cycle on anout once a month. You do not want to let it run all the way down (much less than 20%) as this puts strain on it)

Sometimes, anything can stop.(rarely) To be honest, I'm not a gamer, I will mess around with something, rarely, so I can not be of much help with that sort of thing, being not familiar with them. Did your F1 load after a re-try?

I do know that it's best to max out the ram for smoother gaming and they are GPU hogs in terms of compute cycles.

Make sure the disc you are loading is clean,(or scratched) that can sometimes cause an issue, as for saying with any certainty, I can not.

I don't mind the questions at all, that's why we do this here, but I will not try to comment on something that I don't have any experience with.

If Bioshock seems to work fine at the highest settings, it would lead me to beleive that it is the F1 game, but this is only a guess.

You may check on the F1 site for user threads that may offer some info on this🙂

well my laptop is the brand new out i7 15 inch quad core processor also it has no disc drive but the game does ask for 8gb of ram which is all I have my laptop just has 8gb and it says it will work on hd 4000 graphics which is mine and it said that if I have that graphics its recommened to use it with 8gb ram which is all I got but yeah it worked before that and after I force quit it so I think it was just the game that messed up right?
