HELP! I want to use a screen with my MacBook. I have a 2001 Apple Studio Display and the cord will not fit with a "Rocketfish mini display port to DVI Adaptor" (Best Buy said it would fit!)????

HELP! I want to use a big screen alongside my MacBook. I have an old 2001 Apple Studio Display but the cord will not couple - it does not fit with a "Rocketfish mini display port to DVI Adaptor" — what can I use? (Best Buy said it would fit!)?

MacBook (13-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

If the display uses ADC (Apple Display Connector)

you will also need a DVI to ADC adapter.

(This will not work with the CRT Apple Studio Display.)
