Wifi and blutooth greyed out on ipad1

I put my iPad on charge last night all working fine, this morning went to check mail and no wifi.

Checked setting and both wifi and blutooth greyed out. iPad not been dropped etc. so far have tried resetting network, no change.

Reinstalled firm ware 5.1.1 as new iPad, still can't get it to work. I have even checked connections to wifi aerial which appear fine.

Any ideas etc appreciated.
