Q: Inbuilt camera on Macbook Pro not working.

"No Camera Available, to use FaceTime, connect a camera." is the message it shows when I try and use facetime. Photobooth, Skype, etc don't work either.

I noticed an update to OS Lion that said it would fix camera problems but I have already updated to Mavericks.

Mavericks does not seem to have fixed anything and also when I go to System Information it says: No video capture devices were found.

I have also tried to reset the SMC and it does nothing.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

If How to Troubleshoot iSight doesn't help, Reinstall OS X.

i have the same problem and have erased the disk and reinstalled os x 10.9 and it still doesn't work

Then, unless you have a current backup, make one now.
Then use the final "Troubleshooting" suggestion:

"... contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service."
