MAC OS X 10.9 Mavericks Mail refuses password

MAC OS X 10.9 Mavericks allows you share your email settings from one machine to another via iCloud.

I have noted that when I set this up the second machine fails to connect to the exchange email server as the "password is not recognised."

FIX:

On the second machine, login to your icloud account, and select keychain sharing, the email account will be propagated to your second machine.

Your should note that the Exchange accounts will fail to work due to "password not recognised error"

Select System Preferences

Select Internet Accounts,

Select the Exchange account that is not working

Select "Mail" from the list {Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Notes, Reminders}

Changes the user name to include the fully qualified email address

i.e. If your email addres is "John.Dow@mailserver.com" you should change the user name from "John.Dow" to "John.Dow@mailserver.com"

Select "General", and save the changes

Analysis

The feature woks correctly in general but with exchange account the user name of the email account is truncated when the information is propagated from the first machien to the second.
