I'm having trouble connecting my Macbook Pro to my HP LaserJet 2100 printer.

I'm having trouble connecting my Macbook Pro to my HP LaserJet 2100 printer. It worked in the past, may be a driver or something similar. When I press print the printer starts printing immediately but spits out random codes. I tried downloading the driver package from both Apple and HP websites which took hours to download but this still didn't help.

Anyone know about this?
