iphoto slideshow albums weird

Hello,

I have a macbook air (OS X version 10.9) and my slideshow option with my albums in iphoto '11 (version 9.5) is acting weird. It doesn;t start with the first photo of an album but somewhere in between and when I browse forward or backward it seem to display the photo's of a particular album in random order. When I select the first photo of an album it will only show this photo in slideshow mode. The photo's are organised manually.

I have tried everything like re-installing photo'11, start up with the alt-cmd combination, removed chache en preference files etc, etc. I have no idea what to do anymore. How can I view my slides from the start?

As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

Nope, problem still persists with albums. Slide show starts somewhere in the middle. When I select the first slide iPhoto thinks I have only selected one slide for the slide show.

Log into another user account on your Mac and test the slidesnhow in iPhoto there? Is the problem repeated?

Problem still present. Clicking on first slide in album and press slide show will only show first slide. When pressing slide show after doing my best do deselect it starts somewhere else. Have no control as in where it will start the slideshow and which photo's will be presented.

I think I found it! Starting slideshow is no longer functional with photo's categorised in an album. You need to select all the photo's in album and by pressing share you can export them to slideshow. It works great from here on. I have no idea why the optiion albums is usefull anymore.
