Help?!

my original iphone 5 charger started to break, my phone eventually died and now its just flashing the apple logo and nothing is working. Tried to restart it and other things but nothing happens help please?!

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.3

So many people refer to the "charger". There is a power adapter, that plugs into the wall socket, and there is a cable which connects it to the phone. Which is it? And what does "started to break" mean? Symptoms?

the cable had a kink on the end which goes into the phone. it just stopped charging my phone yesterday, then my phone died. so i used my mates cable (which is apple) and when its plugged in i just get the apple logo keeps flashing up, any ideas?

this also happened to me with just 8 months using my iphone 5. any solutions to this or is this a hardware issue?
