Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu on your Mac. Click iCloud, enter your Apple ID, and select the services you’d like to enable.

That is if you want to activate Find my Mac.

The web site <https://www.icloud.com/> does not care if you have a Mac, a PC, a Linux box when you access it to find your iPhone.

You go to <https://www.icloud.com/>, log in with the Apple ID that you use for your iPhone 4s, click on the "Find My iPhone" icon. It should find your iPhone if the iPhone is turned on, and the iPhone is connected to the network either via WiFi or the cellular network, and of course you have enabled Find My iPhone on your iPhone 4s.

you are so clever and clear in your reply BobHarris and I am very grateful to you......

do you think you can solve another of my techie problems.....

I receive all my emails via microsoft ENTOURAGE but now have to change from broadband provider o2 as they have been bought by sky. Sky doesn't support entourage and I can't transfer all my address's across to the mailbox on my mac OS X version 10.5.8.

I have tried exporting it but that doesn't work and at the moment I have to keep going back to entourage to get address's to send from the new mailbox.
