Q: How install power mac g5

my powermac wont install the normal way i think or i am doing in totally wrong but i don't know please can any buddy help my i have a video where i let see what the problem is.

Hello Koen,

Your English fsr better name many native English speakers!

Whta is the 2z691-****-A number on that Install Disc?

If you hold alt or option key at bootup, what shows as boot choices?

A dead, dying, or really messed up Hard Dive can prevent booting frm Discs.

that include another problem I have no CD and I bought the PowerMac diskless everything in the boot menu work fine but the biggest problem is that CD where can I find it and what do I need my serial number of my PowerMac is YM******R6U

If you don't know the model, find the Serial# & use it on one of these sites, but don't post the Serial# here, they'll edit out as you see...

Hi , from your video you're trying to install Tiger ; at boot up click the mouse button and hold down until the DVD is ejected , check the DVD for scratches and fingerprints; clean up the DVD . Reboot and try to repair your hard drive with the Disk Utility from the Install Menu. If your hard drive does'nt show up on the Disk Utility , chances are it has serious issues and I suggest you use another hard drive. Good luck.

I get a error screen while i am booting from a clean Tiger cd i don't know what i can do now

PS: Sorry for the bad picture it is captured with my Ipod touch 4g i hope that you can read it

What is the 2z691-****-A number on this Disc, seems like too early of a version, but not positive of course.

In 10.4.11 reports Darwin versioon 8.11.0, will see if I can find a Tiger Install Disc & see what that reports.

Oh, sorry, I thought you were booting from a DVD, have you tried...

One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup).

Any change?

Or does this work...

Tough without the Install disc, but some things to try...

Does it boot to Single User Mode, CMD+s keys at bootup, if so try...

/sbin/fsck -fy

Repeat until it shows no errors fixed.

(Space between fsck AND -fy important).

Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck...

i have a dvd downloaded i don't know why it not working i have looked everywhere for a dvd to buy but i cant find where
i go try your commands first do you maybe know what buttons i must use on a windows keyboard

Seems we either have a Hardware problem, or severe Hard Drive corruption.

Does holding Shift key at bootup do any different?

Does Windows+alt+o+f bring up the open firmware screen?
