Nov 3, 2013 6:37 PM in response to Diavonexby jsi1261,Still doesn't work. It will open up the albums on my devices, but there is no longer an "import" option. I'm using Dropbox, as an alternative, but it's taking forever to import 60 pictures. Anyone else have suggestions?

Nov 3, 2013 6:45 PM in response to Diavonexby jsi1261,Unfortunately, I'm not finding Dropbox to be fast at all. It's taken over an hour to get 51 files uploaded. I'm just really concerned as to why the camera connection kit doesn't work any more. Hopefully, it's bugs. I use this thing all of the time, because I do all of my photo editing on my iPad.

Nov 3, 2013 6:56 PM in response to jsi1261by Texas Mac Man,Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive (works the same with an SD card) into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Nov 6, 2013 8:47 PM in response to jsi1261by Lightfighter,I was also having trouble with camera connection kit on new iPad Air. I found that the kit would import photos from my Nikon's SD card but not from my Canon's card. Then I noticed that Nikon named the SD card but Canon did not. I named the Canon card "Canon1" and the camera connection kit has worked perfectly ever since.

Dec 9, 2013 2:11 AM in response to jsi1261by johnnymcz,Perhaps you've already sorted this out by now, but if not, can you borrow another camera connection kit to make sure the problem isn't with your kit?
I have a new iPhone which my iPad & camera connection kit couldn't detect any photos on. I knew it worked with another iPhone, so called Apple for help. They got me to reset everything, and delete stuff, which didn't help, so in the end I had to do a backup, and then factory reset of the phone. This fixed the problem, and it still worked after I restored the phone from the backup. There must have been a problem with the file structure.
Cheers,
John
