Wrong security answer reset email?

Hello everyone,

I have a little problem with my security questions email. So, today, I finally bought an iTunes card to pre-order ARTPOP. The problem is, I have forgotten my security questions. I've tried to the best of my ability to remember them but I am really crappy at answering these types of questions due to my lack of ability to remember exactly what I typed. However, after a few minutes of waiting for the security questions reset email, I noticed that the email it was sent to wasn't even my own. Which is weird, because I've never seen this "w•••••@yahoo.com"email in my life, nor do I use yahoo.com for my emails.

Can anyone tell me what is going on?

It's not even any one of my two email options.

Please help me!

Thank you.

The email address that shows there will be the rescue email address that is on your account - it won't be the same as your primary nor alternate email addresses. If you don't know/have access to that email account (you won't be able to change the address until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down this page to update your rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
