Everytime I download a file, I always get "cannot write file", how do i fix this?

It started a couple of days ago, everytime when I try to download a file, the file downloads in the little drop down box in the top right hand corner, just when it reaches the end, it will have a little comment underneath saying "cannot write file". I have no idea how to fix it.

I had the same issue. I'm not sure why this whole "cannot write file" issue comes about, but I know how to get the complete file even when this appears. As for accessing the files, go to your downloads folder and right-click the file that couldn't be written. Select "show package contents" and the fully downloaded file should appear! I was so happy that I didn't have to re-download them!
