Q: Mavericks Wifi disconnect after sleep mode(Can't reconnect back Wifi)

I fixed mine by disBling wake on network access in the energy saver menu of sys prefs. I restarted my machine and the enabled it.

Working flawlessly now

I read through this post and all the possible solutions, However none of them seem to work. Until I found the following:

1. Go into settings/network and select Wi-Fi, Then click advanced.
2. Under Wi-Fi, delete all preferred networks.
3. Click OK.
4. Click Apply.
5. Close settings.

Open Finder window to Computer/Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration, and delete the files named:

• com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
• NetworkInterfaces.plist
• preferences.plist

Empty the Trash, and reboot... After that you should be $$$!

After following the troubleshooting steps, it connects to the wifi in 3-4 seconds after waking up

I had precisely this problem, wifi disconnecting as soon as my Mac went into sleep mode.  After weeks of frustration, including a fruitless visit to my local Apple Store (fruitless but pleasant - the store personnel are unfailingly nice), I managed to solve it by disabling Bluetooth.  This worked like a charm.  And in retrospect, I realized that the problem had started at exactly the same time that I bought my first Bluetooth-enabled device.

There is obviously an incompatibility between wifi and Bluetooth, which Apple must solve ASAP.

I had the same issue. Running a 15" MBP Retina Late 2013 with an Airport Extreme with a hidden WPA2 secured network. I went to System Preferences>Network and checked the "Ask to join networks" box. When it is checked it connects to the network from sleep. When deselected it doesn't connect.

I had the same issue on my mac mini, not connecting to wifi after sleep, after speaking to a senior tech advisor at apple today problem has been resolved, it is a known problem that Bluetooth settings are interfering with wifi reconnection, we deleted several files that didn't fix the issue then at last attempt this fixed it, In Finder go to Computer/Mac HDD/Library/Preferences and delete file com.apple.Bluetooth.plist, reboot and back to normal.

try not to close the email application completely. Just let it run in the background. That's how I "fix" it. hope it would help.
