How do I delete songs from ICloud on iPad? I've tried looking at Apple's instructions about clicking on music on left side in iTunes, but this doesn't appear to make sense?...

I got myself into this mess by downloading an album containing 100 tracks, most of which I don't want and will NEVER want. So

I tried to delete the ones I don't want from my music library, but instead of deleting them they now have a cloud with down arrow symbol. My research so far informs me that this symbol means they are on my iCloud. I'Ve been trying find out how to delete them from EVERYWHERE as I don't want them anywhere for hours now and am my wits end! Help!!

If they are showing in the Music app on your iPad with a cloud icon on them then they are only in the cloud, they aren't stored on your iPad. That is a new option in iOS 7, which you can turn off via Settings > iTunes & App Store > Music (under the 'Show All' heading) 'off' - that will stop music that is only in the cloud from showing in the Music app.

You will still be able to redownload music via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app, and you can hide items (you can't permanently delete any purchase) so that they don't show there : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919 (with iOS 7, after hiding things on your computer's iTunes you might then need to log out of your account on your iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in for them to then be hidden on on it)
