connecting iPod shuffle to windows 98

I'm trying to connect my iPod shuffle to a PC running windows 98.

Windows seems to need a driver to use the iPod but I don't have the disk that came with the shuffle with me and I can't find the driver I need on the apple website.

All I want to do is use the iPod as a storage device, I'm not interested in using iTunes on this machine.

Any help would be much appreciated
