is there a way to tag different calendars?

If I have one even that I want to show on multiple iCal calendars, is there a way to do that? For instance, if I have a calendar for me, one for my wife, and one for my kid, can I add an event to the kid's calendar so my wife can see it also without having the kid see her calendar also? It's just like tagging that they introduced in Mavericks for other documents and just like what cozi does too!. I really would love to have this feature if possible. It seems to be that an event can only be on one calendar.
