Closing kiosk in iOS 7
After upgrading my ipad 3 to iOS 7, kiosk will not close anymore.
Only by pressing home button.
Other apps close by pitching or waving them away

Try power-cycling your device. Simultaneously press and hold the Hom and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and do not release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if you have the same problem.
Have you contacted tHe developers of Kiosk to find out why this is so?
If all other apps close correctly I suect there's something in Kiosk that needs tweaking.
Thks, you are right.
The app may not come from Apple, I Will check.
Kiosk is IOS app but regional name; its the Newsstand app. - im also having the issue btw, cant close, only by restting ipad. Now subscribing for a magazine trough the appstore; is there a way to assign another app, for now automatically it directs to kiosk/newsstand.
And its not only you cant close the app, you cant even leave the open apps going to main screen, resetting the ipad is only solution getting out.
Guess the app is buggy sometimes as for now (maybe due to resets) it works proper again.
Called apple customer service, but wasnt familiar with that problem and solution suggested was reinstall ios:s
Anyway, during the conversation learned something. While with one click home button you can scroll trough the open apps, and close one by one dragging them up, ios apps and third party apps. Strangely only kiosk/newsstand cant be closed that way. And while with other apps open youll find the homescreen in the scrollviews, once kiosk/newsstand is opened, the homescreen is not available in the scrollviews. Maybe this is actually the problem, and is related to the kosk app; once open its blocking the regular close/home way for all open apps.
Newsstand is not an app exactly, it is a special folder that allows magazines to be apps inside of it, that is why it has different behavior than a folder or an app. It is the only iytem i know of that behaves in this manner.
By being a folder it does not use memory like other apps so there is no concern about it being closed.
What you're describing has been discussed in other threads already. Kisk (or Newsstand) is not an app per se - it's a special folder and behaves like folders.
My initial reply was on an earlier message in this threat, experiancing same issue. Thanks for your reply, so its not a real app, i see. But its confusing anyway, expecting things to work in a similar way while they not really. But now i understand. Thanks.
You're welcome.
