Nov 6, 2013 2:06 PM in response to detour12by K Shaffer,If the computer shipped to you includes the original part number install-restore disc set, you could boot the computer from the Hardware Test disc and see what kinds of reports the looping longer testing results indicate; these tests may require someone more versed in how they work, and in understanding the diagnostic report.
There were a few kinds of logic board issues that a hardware test may not be able to show; one of them (search online) had something to do with some solder joints on the board coming loose; some companies provide a re-solder service to fix that kind of issue.
Since the link now is expired and no longer shows exact details of the item you bought or specifications, any further discussions would have to provide this missing product information.
Good luck & happy computing!

Nov 8, 2013 3:11 AM in response to detour12by britny, you have a 500mb stick of ram in the user accessible slot. you can upgrade that if you wish with a 1g chip which would bring you up to 1.25g total.
