I had the same problem. My screen was completely dead. Try this:
1. connect your iPod to your computer
2. open iTunes
3, while your iPod is still connected, do a restart:press the top button and the menu button at the same time and hold them down. Hopefully, your iPod will reboot. Good luck!
I tried this just now on my stone-cold-dead Nano...and it worked! Many thanks!
I'd give you points, if I could figure out how to do it...
Hi braden85, thank you so mucho for your tip. It worked, but I can't figure out why on the earth did that happen!!??
Many thanks again!
Dear noraperl,
regarding dead iPod nano, what is the menu button? Is it on i-tunes? I have held down the sleep/wake button and volume down button as apple suggest in their trouble shooting guide, but this just seems to incorrectly eject the iPod.
Thanks in advance,
