MacBook Pro early 2011 Audio

Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro 15" early 2011 laptop. I wanted to know if the laptop's sound card supports 5.1 channel sound output?

Few days ago i installed Audio Essentialls and i tried to use the multi-channel option in it but it didn't work. After little trouble shooting i got a

message to check if my sound card supports multi-channel sound. How do i check it?

System information didn't help me.

Please suggest.
