Getting off laptop decal imprints?

So I've been using a cute Pikachu decal for awhile. Every now and then I switch colours. But I noticed something - I can see the imprint of the Pikachu even though I took the decal off. I only see the imprint when I use a cloth with water and wet the laptop case. I want to get rid of the imprint but I'm not sure how? What cleaner would be safe to use to remove a decal imprint and not damage the macbook?

Point 1: Stop using cloth with water. Water leaks into the case and can damage things. The wettest thing to use is a *very slightly damp* cloth covered in alcohol cleaners, with emphasis on "very slightly damp*.

Poinyt 2: As to the decals, it is probably the glue left over. Some cleaers like Goo Gone can remove it, but back to *very slightly damp* ... if there is enoug of that liquid claber to make a difference, it could easily drip into the case and damage components.

This damage may not be immediately obvious. It could be slowly corroding the internal components as we speak.

Good luck.
