I have just purchased a new laptop but i have a complete itunes library on my desktop computer. Is there anyway i can transfer my itunes library to my new laptop and have the songs on both computers.

Thanks for any help.

yes. there are a couple of ways you can transfer all your data. if you have an ipod, I highly recommend PodUtil. It's a handy little program I’ve found that makes all of your ipods files transferable. there is also another way you can use your ipod to transfer data. just clear all of your data on the ipod, plug it into your desktop computer in disk mode. transfer the files you want onto it and then plug your ipod into the other computer (ipod still in disc mode). But if you don’t have an ipod buy an external hard drive if you don’t already have one. if you do, great. if you don’t, buy one for just a little bit. use it and return it. Do the same with the hard drive. transfer files from first computer, then load them to second computer. then sell it, or return it. but if you have a small hard drive on your laptop, I recommend keeping it. the more stuff on a hard drive, the longer it takes to load stuff. with all three ways, you will have to open itunes and add the files from your hard drive. Hope this helps you.
