sites like youtube and google video, work fine...video wise. However, sound won't play at all. Mpeg's work, wmv works..everything but FLV. I have flash player version 9 installed (public beta). i tried running version 8 in rosetta mode, and nothing..anybody else having this issue or have fix?
I am having the exact same problem and I have NO idea how to fix it (I have tried the same things as Rookbeats, but nothing works). If someone else has this issue and can help, I would GREATLY appreciate it!!
Typically, this is an indication that an app has changed the default sound prefs. If you open up Garage Band and play a sample loop, that will restore the prefs to the defaults and if that was the problem, your sound will return.
Acutally, both of our tips do the same thing. The MIDI prefs get messed up and either reset them with Garage Band or by going in and changing them manually resolves it.
I just think it is easier to use GB to do it, but either way has the same end result.
go to the advanced tab, and check enable flash.
may or may not have anything to do with the audio, but it still should be checked (latest update to QT has this off by default)

FLV video will play but sound will not
