Remote not working

Hi I just got the update for remote. I have an ipad and when I try to connect my ipad to iTunes it won't work. I turned in home sharing on the PC and my ipad am signed in to both of them, the PC is authorized but the remote app won't detect anything. I plugged the ipad into the computer, as it said to do so. Then I got a notification saying that the BONJOUR service had been disabled, and this was why it wouldn't work I guess. The file is under services in administrative tools and the bonjour box is all greyed out. I clicked the link to microsofts website and all it got was more confused. There was an option to use the command prompt and also to do it another way. Can anyone help me. I wil not forget to rate your help positively. Thanks

Joshua

Hi Joshuawebb,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like reinstalling Bonjour might help with this. This article contains instructions for that:

Bonjour for Windows: How to tell if it successfully installed

Uninstall and reinstall

If none of the items described above are present after you've installed Bonjour, try uninstalling and reinstalling the software.

  1. Go to the Control Panel and click on Add or Remove Programs.
  2. Select Bonjour from the list.
  3. Click Change/Remove.
  4. Choose Remove, then follow the onscreen instructions.
  5. Reinstall Bonjour for Windows from the Apple website, or the media on which it was supplied to you.

Cheers,
