broken ipod

can someone give me like any details about the whole upgrading ipod minis to like a 30GB ipod, besides paying the difference?
like let's say the ipod is broke because the screen leaked [don't ask how], would the retailers still take it and upgrade? or do you have to pay for a replacement?

thanks

how much does it cost to recycle an iPod mini??
It doesn't you a penny.
As stated, if you take it to an Apple store, you will get 10% off the price of a new iPod.
If you want to purchase a new $399 iPod and you give them your Mini, you will save $40.

Hi Chris,

I believe it is polite to let the person contact me if they are interested at all, instead of an unknown email and address in their inbox. Spam filters may also block a message.

The other reason I posted instead of emailing is because this is how I have seen other members act in the past. I was basing my actions off of their example.

Ok here's my dilema. My Dad bought me an ipod for Christmas of 2004. That first ipod I recieved lasted for about three months then the hard drive fried on that one. Because it was still under warranty I sent it to apple and recieved another one. This new ipod lasted for about another three months and then it's hard drive also fried. Since that one was still under warranty I recieved another new ipod. Now the current one I have has lasted from about August of 2005 and just recently had a hard drive failure in about late May or early Juny of 2006. I am now out of Apple's one year warranty and have no other warienties from any other stores. Is there absolutley anything I can do?
