Audio/Video Glitching while Editing

I recently downloaded the new edition of Imovie. Since downloading it and restoring my old IMovie history all my current projects playback skip while I play them. This goes for audio and video. It will play 2-3 seconds then skip for 3-5 seconds play for 2-3 and skip again. Then if I go to the skipped area and click play from there it will work then continue to glitch.

What is causing this? How can I make the glitching stop?

Sorry... wrong thread! 😝 Just out of curiosity what device are you on? And how long is your project?

Did you shoot it with the device you are eiditing with?

I had some hickups too, then I realized I had 56 applications running in the background.

I quit all of them, then I shut down my device and restart it, and it seems to have fixed the issue.

Also, I had only less than 2 GB of space available, so I also backed up all my projects and clips to iTunes.
