Do you live in a warm climate, such as a desert?

I definitely not live in desert ... I have iphone 4 which works perfecty fine.
Problem is only with newly purchased I phone 5s(gold).

Definitely not normal for the phone to get excessively hot. If you feel the phone is running too hot contact Apple.

Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.
