hp officejet j4680

Anybody successfully printing with hp officejet j4680 on OSX 10.9?

I am new to Mac, mostly loving it but EXTREMELY surprised that OSX seems to have been launched without any developers noticing that it doesn't allow many users to use their existing printer...

If you can make j4680 work let me know

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

This does not work for me. I have a HP Officejet J4680. The printer is recognized by my iMac (Mavericks), but when it attempts to get the software for this printer it says the Applestore does not have the software. Very frustrating. It's annoying that the HP site does not offer the software for OS 10.9, but instead expects this to work for J4680 owners.

Thanks. Most of that worked.

I deleted the printer and the HP folder in the /Library/Printers folder. But when I tried to install the printer at that point I got a message saying software was missing and to go to the website of the manufacturer. At that point I put back the HP folder from the Trash and then added the printer. Works now--Thanks!

Now off to figure out how to get scanning to work.

Have you found any solution to the scanning problem? If so please share.

I've just run into the same problem today and can't seem to find the solution. I never had any problem printing with my HP J4680 even when I upgraded to Mavericks. It's only now that I need to scan a document that I am actually getting frustrated trying to fix this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
