Q: Ipad air low memory crash

I came to this forum to see if other ipad air owners are experiencing same problem with low memory crashing as I do but seems like I'm one of the few people have this. So far I have 10 low memory crash reports. I also have about 30 more crash reports but it's from various apps. I got my ipad air on the launch day, second in line, here in California. Maybe I just have a defective one, I don't know. If you have same issues, please reply so I can determine if I should return it or just live with it. Closing apps every day is a hassle. I wish Apple just put in extra gig of ram. Overall, I am extremely happy with my ipad. There are so many good this things to mention about this ipad but this is wrong thread to do that.

After trying out ios7.1 for number of days now I must say this a huge improvement. It still crashes once in a while but that is not an issue anymore. Nothing is perfect in this world. I do wish there was more ram because memory is constantly running low. I also wish iPads had memory card slot but knowing how stingy Apple is with memory that is just wishful thinking.

 

I'll give credit where credit is due. Apple engineers did a great job improving this operating system however this should have been done when this device was first launched. This would have avoided millions of customer dissatisfaction.

    Yup in my line of work if we have 1 point that is an outlier to the rest of the data points, we note it and then do two things...  disregard it in the overall data since it is an outlier and then investigate it...

    I think that an upgrade of iOS will mitigate the problems...Maybe the log crash will be there but if I don't see any crash or reboot I don't care about them...

    However I would only say thank you, because you and people like you make me very happy every time a read your post: if the problems will still be there after ios7.1, I will sell my iPad air to people like you! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! And this will be the most funny part of all this experience. So thank you to be here and yes, you are totally right, the iPad Air is perfect, please stay convinced of it at least for about three month ok? Ha ha ha ha ha ha! :-)  it is expandable! You know? You can put 128 bit processor and if you like you can throw away some RAM!! Ha ah ha ah ha!

     

    Ok....I know I make I big mistake posting this post but...I could not resist stirring it up a bit.... Ha ha ha ha ;-)

    All I can add to this thread is I don't know what the fuss about the ipad air is all about.

     

    Mine is perfect - angry birds hadn't crashed once!!! How can you improve on that???

    I haven't annoyed anyone in a few days, but have been reading the endless, mind-numbing whinings of the regulars who keep this thread sadly pathetic.  I like yourself have not been able to crash my 64GB Air.  It's [for me] the device I was expecting and I enjoy it a lot.  In fact, I enjoy it hours every day, without any issues. 

     

    And before the Trolls chime back in, I don't doubt they have issues with their devices.  But I am confident Apple is working on it and will release an update that will solve this.
