Q: Ipad air low memory crash

I came to this forum to see if other ipad air owners are experiencing same problem with low memory crashing as I do but seems like I'm one of the few people have this. So far I have 10 low memory crash reports. I also have about 30 more crash reports but it's from various apps. I got my ipad air on the launch day, second in line, here in California. Maybe I just have a defective one, I don't know. If you have same issues, please reply so I can determine if I should return it or just live with it. Closing apps every day is a hassle. I wish Apple just put in extra gig of ram. Overall, I am extremely happy with my ipad. There are so many good this things to mention about this ipad but this is wrong thread to do that.

I do not post often to these forums, but you are so wrong lol

Safari browser just got some memory leaks, and apple will fix that in the next update...

You look like a mad child who try to justify itself, so pathetic....

I still hope you are wrong about the "greed and complacency.

Since I haven't upgraded yet, I am hoping for a stealth RAM upgrade once the current stock is depleted (Spring?).

PS ... just because I found your original language offensive doesn't mean you weren't right.

Honestly, I really hope I am wrong. I really do.

I started getting used to that super light Air; now my wrists are having to adjust again to he added weight.  I have cooled down; I was angry that I sold my high end iPad 4 at a small loss to buy an iPad Air. But getting the iPad 4 on sale at Staples for $349 for the 16gb model took the sting off, especially since buying a new iPad 4 allowed me to go back to IOS6.

At the very least, Apple should allow people to roll back to IOS6.

I guess I may come off as offensive or an angry child to some, but my level of disgust with the current corporate and political climate more than demands such a response from anyone who is breathing and possesses a shred of intellect.

Occupy Wall Street tried to address some of these issues and the congressional military corporate industrial complex squashed them like a bug.

I share your disgust with the "current corporate and political climate", but I try not bring it into these forums. Besides this is "Apple" we're are talking about. The original counter culture company.

Then again with Steve gone and Apple being the richest company on the face of the globe ...

I got my 128GB wi-fi + cellular iPad Air on the 6th November (impressive shipping as usual). I'm getting seemingly random restarts on opening apps. More often than not it's one that I've used a short time previously. The restart is so fast that I'm living with it, but am hoping an iOS update will help. I've certainly experienced the same thing with an earlier iPad (perhaps 2?) and iOS (perhaps 5?) and remember the reboots becoming less frequent as developers released new versions of their apps. I imagine there's a learning curve with every major iOS update. Fingers crossed this isn't something that relies on a hardware update.

I've found another web page that causes my ipad air to crash every time.  Ironically I was searching for web pages discussing the fact my ipad air seems to refresh safari tabs every time I switch between them (which I've always understood to be RAM related):

As you can see, that is a very long page, with a lot of graphics an ad, maybe even embedded videos. 1 GB RAM ain't enuf'

    Wife's iPad 3 @7.0.4

    Crash

    Low Memory

    Largest Process: MobileSafari

Just Crashed Safari, not entire iPad

Definitely a malformed webpage (or too big of a webpage) with respect to Safari

Anyone with an Android care to give it a try?
