Q: Ipad air low memory crash

I came to this forum to see if other ipad air owners are experiencing same problem with low memory crashing as I do but seems like I'm one of the few people have this. So far I have 10 low memory crash reports. I also have about 30 more crash reports but it's from various apps. I got my ipad air on the launch day, second in line, here in California. Maybe I just have a defective one, I don't know. If you have same issues, please reply so I can determine if I should return it or just live with it. Closing apps every day is a hassle. I wish Apple just put in extra gig of ram. Overall, I am extremely happy with my ipad. There are so many good this things to mention about this ipad but this is wrong thread to do that.

    Data Wrangler,

Thanks. Just did it. This is helpful. Unfortunately, I used up my 2 "this helped me" allowances. I am tempted to click "this solved my question".

    Hey Marty,

Can you repost your response that got deleted? I'm now receiving email notification of this thread so even if it gets deleted again we can still see it.

    Thanks

This tread helped me. I read the entire thread. I chimed in on page 10 with positive results after taking my Air to the Genius Bar and having them do a clean wipe, hard wire re-install of iOS7 and one by one install of my Apps., on the suggestion of my advisor.

Looks like iOS 7.1 is going to help things along.

I am so happy to hear this!  :-)  This gives me great hope for the (near) future.  I have always loved my Apple devices, and I'm looking forward now to falling in love with my iPad Air for the first time.  (Believe me, I have wanted to love it from Day One--the look and feel of this device is sooo enticing.  But the software headaches killed the love affair before it began.)  Fingers crossed that the update will once again banish all thoughts of going to the dark side from my head as well.

Still crashes on the beta I'm afraid.  It is much much better in many respects.  I haven't had a single reboot or respring since installing it, and it is noticeably faster.  However some of the scenarios that provoked crashes, like the one you mention and I few others mentioned here that I also had trouble with, still cause crashes.  Clearly there is still a bit of work to do.

For me http://infinityblade.com is a guaranteed crash with Safari so that one might be easier to remember for future tests. Try scrolling throughout the site or visiting different areas. It's a great sight just not on iPoS7

That is disappointing and worrisome news.  :-(  The frequent Safari crashes have been the main problem I have experienced.  I have not had the same issue with frequent reboots, complete system crashes, etc. that many others have reported.  (Possibly because of my usage habits--I use my iPad heavily for web surfing and PDF document reading; very little for watching videos, games, and the like.)

I decided to take my iPad Air to the Apple Store today because of the constant crashing as well as some dust under the glass.  I could have waited and just returned it to Best Buy for another, but did not want to deal with the hassle.  The "genius" pulled up the crash log and commented ,"Wow it really has crashed a lot!"  Anyways, they gave me a replacement and so far so good....

Edited by host? What does this mean? Does this mean Apple changed the wording? I'm kind a new to this forum.
