Q: Ipad air low memory crash

Hope you don't have issues, but if they appear, the best advice via this thread is to talk directly to an AppleCare senior advisor and avoid all the fixes and replacements that don't do anything.

That said, I still use and appreciate my iPad. Not giving it up.

Wait, Carol, you solved the problem. If you tell someone about the issue, they get it.

Just kidding, but there is a huge question of why some people have the issue and some don't.

Yes, I think she thought she "caught something" from me!  But seriously, my gut feeling is that all of the airs have this problem.  I think it just how one uses it that determines if it is uncovered.  Eventually, I believe, an incident will occur on everyone's device.  Until I knew how to look at the diagnostics I had no idea how many low memory events I had because it wasn't evident from the behavior.  I am starting fresh and watching how it goes.

Everyone here attacking me comes off as pathetic. I'm not saying the problem isn't real, i'm saying it has to do with the software only, your device isn't faulty and it isn't a bad batch. all that is needed is a software update, you people don't seem to listen and only seem to whine.

Let's try to remain focused in this thread.  It's fairly obnoxious to ask for help and to get sand kicked in your face. Fanboyism is rampant on Reddit, akin to trolls that lurk within this thread. We need a little bit of momentum to puncture the reality distortion field, if you will, so any ideas on how to best voice these concerns is appreciated. I think we can have more momentum if we work as a concerted force.

There is nothing to work for, what aren't you people understanding. they will release a patch.. learn to read.

Let's wait for 7.1 and see if it fixes some problems.  If not, the best path is to open calls to Apple, be firm that the iPad is not defective but that it's a software problem, replacing it wont change a thing.

All we can do is hope for the best.  Or wait until October for a new, better iPad Air 2....

I've just noticed that almost everyone contributing (I use that term loosely based on some recent posts) on this thread is on "level 1" and almost all have no points. I guess that means the more experienced apple community members think this post is rather futile and won't help anything, don't see a major problem, have seen this all before or just can't be bothered in a no solution based thread (?)

Yell out the window...more value adding....this thread has come  and gone and lost relevance. If there are new fixes....share them, please,

I told a friend who also has the iPad air about my problems and she said she had no problems but then a day later said hers crashed as well and she got the "Apple logo".  I think that this is happening to a lot of people and they are just not paying attention to it.

 

Would I recommend an iPad air to a friend?  Very likely yes though I may advise them about my experience.

I get why you restored as new and starting fresh but that doesn't work for the majority of us including myself.  After spending a grand on a higher capcity model with Cellular one would expect the dam thing to work with all the bells and whistles enabled on what is supposed to be the best tablet on the market. 

I love Apple products but that is slowly changing especially when my Wife with a year old Note 2 can easily load and handle all the pages that crash my iPad and iPhone.  It's pathetic.  Apple used to pay such attention to detail.  What happened to their credo "To every Yes there are a thousand No's"  Well it's a sad state of affairs that we were all suckered into the 64-bit mobile revolution with a meager 1GB of ram.  I bet you any amount of hugs that if there were a prototype with iOS 7 and 2 GB of Ram out there and I am sure there is that the crashes wouldn't and don't happen.

Most people don't even notice crashes when they happen because the iPad and iPhone boot so quickly, the only way I know is that it happens when I have the device in hand and sometimes I will return to my iPhone and I all of a sudden TouchID doesn't work and I have to re-enter my password which is required after a reboot.

Anyway, sorry for the venting I just want the products I bought fixed and no endless amount of denial from Apple will fix it. 

My 2cents: I was having this crashing problem and it seems like ever since I went into Settings, General, Accessibility, and turned on reduced motion. I haven't noticed the crashes anymore. If and when I do get a crash, I will be sure to report back here again. Good luck!

I find it amazing that this guy lived with the phone for over 3 months and hasn't even vaguely mentioned the crashes and curses of iOS 7.  He even bashes his other Android devices claiming that the apps crash more often on them.  The only mention of the word crash is the messages apps.  It is exactly these types of biased "Glowing Reviews" of Apple and fear of Apple by the editors that proves Apple is controlling the media as much as possible and are trying to silently fix this problem.  I can imagine any meare mention of an unstable Apple product would result with an editor losing many Apple perks including review units and devices.  Is it just me or is there something bigger at play here?  No I don't have an aluminum hat there is no aluminum tinfoil left since all the aluminum is in my iPhone and iPad.  Good Luck and Curses to iOS 7.  Instead of crashing phones I think I will put my money towards a car that doesn't come with iOS 7 or Microsoft on board.

Nevermind my post a few posts back about a fix, still getting crashes. Crashed when opening engadget website.
