FCPX XML creating too many tracks

I am currently trying to import a Final Cut X XML inot Logic X. The import encoutners an error and I don't get all my audio. What is happening is that Logic is creating a separate track for each clip in the project. It is also creating multiple duplicate tracks for each audio clip. At a certain point it runs into the 255 track limit and stops importing, leaving the project incomplete.

Any insight/solutions?
