Nov 21, 2014 7:37 AM in response to Michael Battenfieldby mecampbellsoup,Had this exact problem. For me I had to just accept the new terms - something to do with OS X Yosemite I imagine. It was on the "Purchases" tab within the App Store application (note that this screenshot was taken after I'd solved the problem so the update/accept button is not present):

All my problematic apps were listed under a section indicating they required me to agree to updated terms. Once I did that, I could update them all no problem!

Nov 26, 2014 9:45 AM in response to Michael Battenfieldby Shafi Ahmed,You can try this out:
- go to Featured tab on App Store
- search for Pages
- click on small ACCEPT button beneath Pages icon.
Your download for update will be started then.
Best of luck!

Dec 28, 2014 11:39 AM in response to Michael Battenfieldby fmulki,Hi,
I had the same issue with my new MacBook Air; being new to the Mac World it took some time but I finally figured it out. I went to the Purchased section in iTunes and opened Pages. Apparently it was never really downloaded to the machine with my iTunes ID. After opening / downloading the application; it asked for my ID and password and then was able to install the updates. Hope this helps.

Aug 15, 2015 11:37 PM in response to zhengxiby ScottInfo,Great! I purchased aMacbookPro for my wife, used my email and installed some software for her before giving it to her as a present.
Thispreventingher from updating software. ihad to do it using my Apple ID.
Deleting /Library/Application Support/App Store/adoption.plist (which contained my Apple ID) allowed her to login to the Apple Store and get Yosemite Update (and others).
Thanks for pointing me to the right file.

Feb 15, 2016 1:12 AM in response to Michael Battenfieldby UserLol,Hi. As we all know that flappy bird has been removed from the app store, i downloaded it from a friend's apple id who already had purchased it before it's removal. But the problem is, although i have downloaded it successfully, the app isnt displaying on my own apple id's purchased list that is recently logged in my iphone 4s. Is there a way to associate it with my apple id? Please help me if you know a solution.
