Q: My daughter keeps getting involved in iMessage group texts, how does she leave the group if she doesn't want to continue being involved ?

My daughter is involved in a group message on iMessage, she is receiving texts in the chat constantly and we want to know how to remove her from the group so the texts stop

iPhone 5c, iOS 7.0.2

    - It is not possible to remove yourself from a group message.

    - To add or remove recipients, you must create a new group message conversation.

    Hi,

     

    The Understanding group Messaging was updated on the 9 th Sept 2013 but shows pictures from before iOS 7

     

    I do not have the highlighted Group Messaging option on my iOS 7 4GS

    Nor do I have it on my older 4G iPhone running iOS 6.1.3

     

    However the broader answer is that everyone in the group has to stop using it and delete it  so that all participants can "leave" is the only way.
