Hello my friend has a mac, she doesnt know what OS it's on or what mac it is exactly apart from its from 2009 ish and it's a desktop?! but it seems to be having Kernel panics telling her to restart it all the time, i have looked for solutions online and people say to hold shift when its booting up to go into safe mode but for some reason the keyboard nor mouse works, she has tried wired and wireless ones and no luck from either. any help would be appreciated. Cheers

That's a start.

It panic-ed early on, probably before Mac OS X loaded. "Unable to find Driver for this platform." Indicates it could not successfully load the first kernel extensions, and therefore could not load Mac OS X. So it is unlikely to be software related.

You cannot tell what routine called it, because it says the return adresses are messed up. "Backtrace terminated, Invalid frame Pointer" This is STRONGLY indicative of a Memory problem.

This is not likely to be a Mac Pro tower, more likely an iMac (computer built into the screen).

You may need to make an appointment at the genius bar, if available. Your appointment for an evaluation is FREE, in warranty or out, and there is no obligation to have them do any work for a fee.

In much older Macs, removing and re-Installing modules sometimes was able to fix small problems. The RAM DIMMs used in these Macs are much denser and run much hotter, tend to fail, and nothing can be done to fix them up a little.

So yes, I think there is a very good chance replacing the RAM DIMMs would solve this problem. Were you considering an Upgrade? Now is the time.
