Q: blocked sms on IOS 7

Does someone know if when you block a caller it lets you see afterwords the sms messages? it does let you see the calls even though you blocked the caller

PowerBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

thanks! But I did receive a voice message left on the answering machine by a blocked caller! It was listed under "blocked" in the voice messages listing

Was the voice message left before or after you blocked the contact? I haven't tried any of this, but it seems to me the message exclusion might take effect when you block the contact.
