Macbook Pro Won't turn on

My Macbook pro (2011) has been having troubles for the past month. It always is super slow and constantly shuts down randomly. Last night it completly shut down so I charged it. We I tried to turn it on it at first looked normal: It had the start up noise, fan and the grayish startup display. but after around ten seconds of doing that it just turns back off. Iv'e tried shining a flashlight to see if it is something to do with the diplay but i found out that my computer is completly shut down. Any ideas as to what might be going on and how to fix it??

I am in Montreal and spent 1900.00 in Sept. 2011 for 13" macbook pro using part of my student loan, thinking this would at least last until I receive my degree in 2014. Wrong! Exactly 2 years later..Sept. 2013, it stopped charging. I brought it to the Apple store and without running any diagnostics, the "Genius" told me it was the motherboard and would cost approx. 600.00 to replace + tax. I told him I was a student and couldn't afford to spend an additional 700.00 (after taxes) on a computer I already spent 2000.00 for just 2 years previously. He then told me because I was a student, I qualified for a new computer and it would only cost me approx 1200.00. (same computer specs but cheaper now than when I bought mine). I said, "If I can't afford 600 dollars to replace the board, where do you think I could come up with 1200 dollars?" Buyer beware...with this company, service does not follow the sale. Lesson learned.
