Aperture 3.5 sapping memory..

Hi all,

I have noticed a significant decrease in the speed of Aperture 3.5. When using brushes the whole thing comes grinding to a halt. This morning I recieved an out of memory message. Something strange is going on. Help!

I have a 2010 27" Imac with 2.93GHz i7, 16 GB ram running OS X 10.9

Aperture 3, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Is the error reproducible? If so post a screen shot of the error message,

How much free space do you have on your system disk drive?

Thanks Frank,

I haven't had the low memory warning since and if I remember correctly I only had Safari & Mail open at the time. However I'll try and re create the scenario.

I have 425GB free on my HD.
