Audiobooks missing from music apps

I have the same or similar problem. Whenever I sync from iTunes to my phone, I now get a popup error saying "Some of the Audible files in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPhone "[iPhone name]" because you are not authorized to play them on this computer." And there is a checkbox in the error for "Do not warn me again". The Audible books show in the Audiobooks section of the iPhone "Settings" in iTunes, but do not transfer to the device. The books are still in the Audible app on my phone. It looks like Apple is just divorcing itself from Audible as far as iTunes sync, and the books remain in the app. I'm going to just click the don't warn me anymore checkbox and not worry about it.

Select your audiobooks, get info and change the file type to audiobooks.

Same thing is happening to me! problems only with audiobooks. all my books are from itunes. I'm on a iphone 5s lastest OS and just updated to lated itunes. never had issue with this before.

Have the same problem. Checked Audiobooks are selected to sync inside iPhone settings on iTunes, files have their media kind set to Audiobook, but no option to view Audiobooks on my phone. Only doing this because of the Podcasts fiasco on iOS.

If I search for the particular audiobook, select it, it plays from the music app. Thing is I can't find it anywhere. I have to do a search then play it. Who knows where it's stored??

Same issue. It is very annoying. I've been searching for a book and then playing in the music app, but that is getting very old as every time I exit, I then have to start the process all over again including finding the place I was at.

I found the problem. It is iTunes Match.

If it is on, the audiobooks do not show up in the Music App. If it is off, they are right where they are supposed to be. Clearly, iTunes Match is not working with the audiobooks.

OK, Apple please make iTunes Match work with the audiobooks.

Had the same problem. Brought an audiobook on my iPhone with ios 7 and it went into this blackhole. I could search for it but it wasn't in the music app, I tried everything but no luck. It worked fine on my iPad. But signing out of the itunes store on my iPhone and doing a hard reset, then signing back in. Fixed my problem.

I turned off itunes match and audiobooks showed up again in my "more" section of itunes. Apple, get this fixed. I shouldn't have to turn off itunes match to hear my audiobook.

Yeah, me, too, but perhaps even stranger. I was listening to a book consistently, until I tried to play it in my car: connected the iPhone and the book disappeared, replaced by the "Music" app, never to be found again.

Fix it, okay?

Open the Music App on the iPad, Select "More" at the bottom, then in the upper right hand corner choose "Edit" and then you can add the Audiobooks to the Menu.

we are having the same problem, audiobook bought from itunes, on the ipad, will play on the ipad and play on itunes on our imac. but it will not transfer and sync the same book to my wifes phone. She has done all the trouble shooting, when sync is clicked the bar at the bottom shows the data but it suddenly changes as the syncing is being done.

anyone???? Apple????? Apple get it together....for all your updates!!!!
