Can someone tell me why only some of the ipad air built in apps apprear on my new air?

The ilife and pages numbers etc are missing

They are not built in. But they are free from the App Store with your new iPad.

Connect with Apple online and find where it offers the free download.

Thanks that helped.

Actually got through to a real person at teh help desk who said you have to download each one from the app store.

Hardly "BUILT IN"

How very microsoft of you apple.
