Iphone 4 disabled try again in millions of minutes

I have an old Iphone 4, I want to download all the photo's to Iphoto, today when I have turned it on it says Iphone 4 disabled please try again in millions of minutes, have connected to computer and opened itunes which will not sync due to password on phone, if I restore the iphone 4 will I loose all my data, when I got iphone 5 i used icloud to transfer all the data which it did except photo's and music which is why I want to download all the photo's.

To remove the passcode, you'll have to force the phone into recovery mode & restore it. This will erase all data on the phone. If no backup to restore from, then your data is gone.

Thank you for this, unfotunatley this hasn't worked get an error message


"the iphone, iphone cannot be restored. This device isn't eligible for the requested build" it has a more information and an ok button i have pressed the more information which takes me to a support.apple page that gives me a s resolution to install latest itunes which I have done and then tells me open the 'terminal' in utilities this is where I am at a total loss am scared to do anything have no idea what the password for the 'terminal" is any ideas

Thank you we dont use an admin password when the box comes up we just click ok without entering a password so don't have one set, I have opened terminal but am worried about doing something I shouldn't and loosing all my hubby's stuff of the computer as he uses it for work.

Then wait for your husband to make a backup of his work data, which he should be doing anyway, just like you should with any important data.
