My iMovie has none of my old projects i was working on. I have located my iphoto library from the search box and my pictures are there. I have also located my old movie projects that opened in the old imovie. Any help on how I can get these programs working properly. There are no updates yet for me

Couple of things to try:

Restart your mac and try launch iPhoto again.

If that fails:

Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.

Look there for a file called ‘iPhoto’Lock.data or similar. Drag it to the Desktop. Make no other changes. Start iPhoto. Does that help?

If not: Where is your iPhoto Library stored? If it's on an External Disk, what format is that?

Neither of them worked.

My iphoto library is stored on my mac. I have a back up of it. I can also access it if i find it in finder.

I can't add pictures to it by clicking share on the picture. But i can add pictures if i click and drag them into it when opened from finder.

I recieve the same message when i try to add a photo from clicking share

should i delete iphotoLock.data from my desktop?
