It was annoying me to , having read the forum and how long update history appears for I went in to settings - general-date & time turned off set automatically then clicked the date to 30 days ahead checked back to update history all gone then went back in to settings -general -date & time and set it back to automatic checked app history again and then turned phone on and off and they had still all gone , bit long winded but appears to work.

I'm curious (sincerely, not trying to be critical), but what is really so annoying about it? Unless you access it directly, you don't see it; the newest updates always filter to the top of the list and thus are much more prominent than past updates; you always have a record of updates to refer to including the date you took them and what was changed - potentially useful information. You're not first person to post about this, but I honestly do not get why it is an issue.
They roll off the list after a couple of weeks, so they aren't there forever. And I agree with others, sometimes I like to go back and see what was in the update, especially if I do several at one time.
Hi. First time on this site. You answered my question and within 30 secs all updated app history had gone leaving "all apps are up to date". Other replays are why does it annoy why this why that... You just answered with a working reply, Well Done You. How do I get you yor star for 10 points?

Only the original poster can award points. However, for most people, a nice thank you such as you gave, is just a good, if not more so.
Best of luck.
Thank you for the helpful response. Having the update history show for a short period of might be a neat feature, but for those of us who want to clear it (for whatever reason...) it would be nice to be able to have an easier way to do it. Maybe even on an individual basis so we can leave important updates in there and get rid of minor ones that just clutter up the screen. Just my opinion. Until I read this post I didn't understand even why they were always in there. :D
You can't. Just ignore it, like the rest of us. You'll get used to it.
I actually like it. I can go back and see what has changed in the update.

So do I. One of may favorite, unexpected, features in 7. That's why I was asking.
I also like it. I use an app called Lift that has great release notes. Being able to go back and read them after I clicked Update all is very nice. I use to wait to update that until I'd read them.
I'm not clear if it is a function of time, or number of updates, but yeah. Mine now only go back to Oct 24.
I think I've decided it's time. Two weeks.
Comparing my iPad to my iPhone history, I'm inclined to agree.
Hi. You can. I had same question the only reply to answer with out opinion or extra comments was JamesFL on 7/2/14.
Takes 30 secs and works 10/10.
They are not "always there". As stated above, the update record only goes back about two weeks.
